Jamie

Executive Director + Advocate

Jamie was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and relocated to Minnesota at age 16. Jamie graduated in 2019 from UWS with her A.A. in Addiction Studies and her BSW (Bachelor of Science in Social Work). She also has specialized training in Pediatric Forensic Interviewing, and several youth body safety, trauma, and healthy relationships curricula. She is also a facilitator for the Girls Court Moving On program out of the 6th Judicial Court House in Virginia, MN. Jamie has been with the Sexual Assault Program since 2019, where she started as an education coordinator and advocate. Jamie took over as director in 2024.

When Jamie isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family, camping, kayaking, football, and dreaming of ways to leave the world better than we found it! Jamie says the best thing she could have done was go to school, as this is where she realized how much ACE’s (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and trauma had ultimately strengthened her resiliency and drive to make changes.

With some healing and serious building of self-worth after trauma and abuse, I realized I wanted to do something to help those who are in need of support and help them in their healing journey as well! I feel strongly about helping others work to feel empowered with options to create a life that they want, where no one has to walk on eggshells to make someone else happy. Where the true meaning of love is supporting each other without feeling like you owe something in return. I am in the fight for the long haul and am not going to give up on creating services and support for victim/survivors, or the mission of the Sexual Assault Program of Northern Saint Louis County. Believe.Listen.Learn.Support.

Taylor

Education Coordinator + Advocate

Taylor grew up in Cook Minnesota, graduated from MN North College with her A.A, and is currently still attending college to further her education and graduate with a BSW (Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work). Taylor is certified in the Safe and Strong body safety curriculum. She has also completed the certification to obtain a CDA (Child Development Associate) and has prior child education knowledge working in a large daycare setting for 3 years. Taylor has been with our agency since 2024.

When she’s not at the office, Taylor spends most of her time with her son. Other things she enjoys include, spending time outdoors in the summer, typically at the beach, going to concerts, and travelling to new places whenever she can!

What I most enjoy about my job, is working with the youth in the schools and the community, and one on one, as well as getting the chance to meet all the amazing, strong individuals and families along the way. I am passionate about our youth being educated on healthy relationships, body safety, and feeling that they have a voice when it comes to their own body. Body safety and healthy relationship education is not just for those individuals and families who are victim/survivors of sexual violence, but for anyone to be educated on at any age in order to prevent harm happening in the future, and to keep ourselves and our youth safe. Thank you for trusting me with your littles, and your stories, and I look forward to continuing to create change, together!
